Don Julio González began his journey in the world of tequila in 1942. He soon realized that to create a tequila that stands apart, one must control every aspect of the process, from the cultivation of the agave to the bottling of the final product. He then established his distillery, La Primavera, and spent nearly forty years perfecting the craft that would produce extraordinary tequila with every bottle. At first, Don Julio only shared his tequila with friends. But soon word spread, and Tequila Don Julio quickly became the most sought after tequila in Mexico. Today, the world is learning what Mexico already knows: that it is passion above all else that makes a great tequila.
Old gold color. Grilled lime, floral talc, coconut custard, and toffee aromas are inviting. A soft, silky entry leads to a dryish medium-to-full body of creamy vanilla, toffeed roasted nuts, gingerbread, and dried pineapples. Finishes with a tangy dried topical citrus, white chocolate, and vibrant peppery spice fade. Well balanced and flavorful.

Respect, patience, and adaptability. Each is an integral part of the Kumeu River success story, not only in the making of good wine, but also in the making of a thriving family business that spans many generations. The Brajkovich family begins a new life in New Zealand The story of Kumeu River Wines began to unfold more than half a century ago with the first generation of the Brajkovich family to arrive in New Zealand; Mick and Katé and their three children, daughters Franka and Nevenka, and son Maté. In their small Croatian village of Živogošce, Mick and Katé had also farmed small plots of land and had experience tending vines and making their own wine. After a few years of working in the gumfields, the family moved to Henderson in West Auckland where Mick, Katé, and Maté worked in local vineyards and orchards. By 1944, they had saved enough money to purchase a Kumeu property with a small vineyard. Although the winery was steadily gaining reputation and status within the industry, it was the late 1970’s and early 1980’s that saw a marked evolution in the style and direction of the winery. In 1979 the winery moved away from the hybrids used for the production of fortified and basic red and white wines to varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. All popular and commonly known varieties today, but these wines were relatively unheard of at that stage, posing a bold and somewhat risky move for the winery. During the 1980’s Michael, Milan, and Paul became more involved in the business and the winery took on a new focus; quality and reputation. The winery changed its name to Kumeu River Wines and began producing a Burgundy-influenced style of Chardonnay that featured indigenous yeasts, extended lees aging, and malolactic fermentation. In the years since, the Chardonnays of Kumeu River have gained international awards and accolades.
The limestone-based vineyard at Rays Road in Hawkes Bay is a uniquely characterful Chardonnay. It has the aroma of citrus peel, flinty minerals and salty seashells. There are creamy, peach-like flavours on the mid-palate, but then it finishes firmly with zesty fresh acidity and a steely backbone on the finish.

Gently aromatic and quite concentrated Chardonnay with peach, melon, citrus and a hint of oyster- shell and mineral character supported by deliciously fruity acidity that helps drive a lengthy finish. There is also a toast, brioche influence adding extra complexity.
Veramonte produces distinctive wines that are expressions of their origins. The winery is located in Casablanca, and the original vineyards were situated in a valley in Casablanca that when planted in the late 1990s was unknown to the wine industry. Veramonte was the first to invest seriously in the area and the project expanded later into other valleys with vineyards in the renowned winemaking regions of Casablanca and Colchagua. Veramonte follows organic practices throughout their estate, with a number of the wines now being officially certified ‘Made with Organic Grapes’. These practices ensure optimum conditions for vine growth and that the vineyards are sustainable. We follow organic and sustainable practices because we believe it is the only way to have healthy and expressive vineyards that transcend time and deliver pure fruit and wines that reflect the living soils from which they come…
Fresh and expressive aromas of pear, quince and lemon curd, interwoven with toasty oak notes on the bouquet. The palate shows vibrant purity of the fruit with beautiful texture and good depth, it reveals the remarkable fresh fruit characters that lead to a long and vibrant crisp finish.
Boschendal is one of the oldest wine producers in the New World with a French viticultural heritage dating back to 1685. The farm “Bossendaal” (wood and dale) was granted in 1685 to French émigré Jean le Long by the governor of the Cape, Simon van der Stel. Le Long was one of the many Protestant Huguenots who fled from France to escape religious persecution after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes. Part of the present Boschendal winery was originally the cellar for Le Rhone Manor House, built in 1795. Although we are very proud of our Huguenot heritage, we are very conscious of the need to keep abreast of ongoing advancements in wine-making. This requires continuous research and development to keep the cellar on the cutting edge, enabling the wine-makers to use the latest technology and the best resources to make wines of the highest quality that reflect both our unique terroir and our noble French heritage.
A pink leaning to onion skin in colour. The aromas and the palate are linked from the time you lift the glass. The palate shows sun dried strawberries and chunky watermelon, the brilliant citrus and backbone from the Chardonnay and the raspberry/red currant notes from the Pinot Noir, the oak and its concomitant spices, all are interwoven in the long, refreshing and gently waning finish.

Maison Jaffelin was founded in 1816 and is now owned by Jean Pierre Nie, owner of CVA. At the heart of Beaune for eight centuries. From the « Maison du Chapitre » to the « Maison Jaffelin », a long history of wine. Jaffelin’s history is inseparable from that of the Collégiale Notre Dame de Beaune. Over the centuries, there cellars have housed the wines of the Collégiale and the Cardinals. The Chapitre’s cellars changed ownership in 1816, the date when the Jaffelin brothers established their « Maison de Négoce. » (trading house). Today our wines rest in the monastic tranquility of the Chapitre’s cellars. as they did eight centuries ago. He has installed talented young winemaker Marinette Garnier who has transformed Jaffelin into a micro- negociant of the highest quality. The key to their success is producing tiny volumes of wines from small, premium plots throughout some of the regions lesser known villages. This allows complete control over all stages of the wines’ development from their small winery tucked away in the very heart of Beaune. The attention to detail is uncompromising. Marinette Garnier, our oenologist-winemaker, creates our “Hand-Made” wines in this magical location in the historical centre of Beaune. Marinette insists that all oak barrels are sourced to match the style of the wine. Since then, Jaffelin continues to present the very best of the finest Burgundy terroirs within a comprehensive collection of wines, which are recognised in prestigious wine competitions and appreciated by connoisseurs around the world.
Bright pale straw colour with a subtle tinge of green. The bouquet shows aromatics of white peach and dried honey blend into biscuity nougat, subtle roasted almond and spicy citrus notes. Established in 1972, Mountadam Vineyards was founded by the late David Wynn. Wynn is without question one of the most significant contributors to the Australian Wine Industry. Wynn was the first to recognise the potential of a cool, elevated site to produce Australian wines of great elegance and structure. He named the vineyard after his son, Adam who in 1984 became the company winemaker. Wynn’s search for a vineyard site which met his expectations took him across Australia. He settled on an area high above the township of Eden Valley in the sub-region now known as High Eden. When David Wynn bought Mountadam he took his artist friend Tate Adams to look over the property and come up with a design for the wine label. While walking on the property, two eagles were circling and Wynn told Adams that they were nesting on a tree on the property. Adams designed and made two engravings incorporating the eagle. In 2005, David and Jenni Brown purchased Mountadam Vineyards from LMVH. In late 2015 the Brown’s acquired the second, High Eden vineyard established by Wynn. The two vineyards are dissected by High Eden road. The Brown family are keen to continue Wynn’s vision to produce wines of elegance and structure. A focus on sustainable low input viticulture will guarantee the success of the vineyards into the future.
Pale straw-gold in colour. Vibrant and fruity bouquet, with lifted ripe honey dew melon characters, underlying peach and hints of lemon. The wine has lashings of stone fruit and citrus on the palate. It has a round mid-palate and a vibrant citrus like finish.
FROM KEN & ERICA…. THE STORY OF WALTER SCOTT
We launched the winery 8 years ago on a hope, a dream and two very small retirement funds. Ken and I had both been working in the Oregon wine industry for over 30 years combined, ken on the production and distribution side, myself as a Sommelier and educator. We had met while Ken was selling me wine, and when we got together I encouraged him to follow his dream and launch the label that he had been thinking about for years. Over the last 8 years we continued to work full time, putting everything back into the business and doubling production each vintage. Today we sit at 3500 cases and are done growing. We both left our real jobs last year, focusing solely on the business and our daughter Lucy. We make Pinot Noir & Chardonnay and believe that attention to detail in the winery is incredibly important. Our goal is to produce clean, correct wines with tension and grace. We do our best to represent the individual terroir of each vineyard site, translating their personalities and allowing the character of vintage to shine through.
This wine boasts clarity and precision, leading with supple aromas of Meyer lemon zest, green pear, and white peach, layered with floral notes of honeysuckle, lemon myrtle, orange blossom, and a hint of oyster shells. The palate is intricately fruity with freshness at the forefront, followed by a focused vibrant acidity on a seamlessly poised finish.
