The Robert Burns Single Malt is a superb example of the Master Blender’s art and a testimony to the quality of the whiskies used to create this special dram. Released in September 2012 and commemorating Scotland’s most famous poet, this is a blend of different vintages of single malt whisky distilled and aged at the Isle of Arran’s Lochranza Distillery in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
Clear, mid golden in colour. The bouquet shows vanilla, crème anglaise, new leather and stewed pear with honeydew melon and delicate chai tea spices. The palate is toasty vanilla croissant with bamboo wood, white delicate fruit and subtle vegetal notes. A delicate finish with vanilla, pasty and pollen heavy daffodil.
