Humberto Canale Winery is located near General Roca city, in the heart of the Alto Valle of Rio Negro, Patagonia. It is a family company founded by Engineer Humberto Canale in 1909. Four generations later, the founder’s wisdom regarding handmade processes is combined with the most updated techniques, and the result is the production of fine wines of international quality. At present the winery is managed by Engineer Guillermo Barzi Canale. The company owns 150 has. of old vineyards where traditional French varieties can be found. They have been dedicated to quality wine production in Rio Negro, Argentina for more than a century. At 39.2 degrees southern latitude, in Argentine Patagonia, Canale’s vineyards thrive in one of the world’s most southerly regions. Rio Negro’s cold nights and intensely sunny days yield consistently ripe, luscious fruit. This ideal setting combined with state-of-the-art winery techniques result in truly exceptional wines.
Bright purplish red in color, deep and intense. The bouquet shows aromas of fresh plums, spicy notes combined with notes of vanilla and toasted given by its aging in oak. It has a good structure on the palate, long and well rounded, very powerful on the finish.
