Product Description
Champagne Jacquart was born in 1962 out of the decision of thirty wine growers driven by the desire to create a champagne to add to the finest pages of the history of the region. Their ambition was to create a top quality champagne using a blend of the best Crus in Champagne’s vineyards. The vignerons have a profound understanding of the vegative cycle of their vines, and subsequently reap the rewards at harvest time. At the beginning of Autumn the presses go into action, located as close as possible to the vineyards in order to preserve all the fruit qualities. Today, grapes are sourced from all over the Appelation d’Origine Controlee of Champagne. They come from the top Cru vineyards, thus positioning the Jacquart brand above 90% in the echelle des crus (vineyard classification based on quality potential). Grapes are selected from the harvest of some 2620 hectares, meticulously cultivated by Maison Jacquart’s own 1800 vine-growers, mostly in the Montagne de Reims, Cotes de Blancs, the Cote des Bar and the Vallee de la Marne.
