Product Description
In 1783, Martell was the first to ship its barrels of cognac to the United States. Today, Martell celebrates this history with another first. Introducing Martell Blue Swift, the first-ever spirit drink made of cognac VSOP and finished in bourbon casks. Finishing the ageing of Martell cognac VSOP in Kentucky Bourbon casks aims to offer unsuspected aromas thanks to its double distillation of exclusively clear wines produces eaux-de-vie of exceptional purity, allowing them to better absorb rich aromatic tones from the bourbon casks. Martell’s characteristic notes of candied fruit and plum are enriched, in Martell Blue Swift, with the subtle sweetness of vanilla and toasted oak. Blue Swift breaks also the Cognac codes with the sleek cylinder of its bottle, recalling the shape of bourbon casks, and the elaborate “cut glass” detail on its base evoking classic crystal decanters. Exceptionally smooth, with a rounded taste and unique character, this redefines the boundaries. For years, the Swift has been an icon for Martell. A bird with the rare ability to fly for days without stopping, the Swift is bound by nothing – traversing oceans and continent.
