The Monte Schiavo family of wines is one beautiful, big, close family in which each member has its own special characteristics yet all share the same values: the quest for high quality, from origins in richly endowed soils to state-of-the-art winemaking that ensures taste. Uncorking a bottle of Monte Schiavo wine is richly significant act. The senses are alerted to the approach of a world of wine – a world of grape and terroir, of sunlight and heat, of passion for the vine and its transformation, of quality, history and technology, effort and art. For every bottle the cork represents not just the wine but the values, culture, tradition, innovation, enthusiasm, experience and passion of those that made it: because drinking Monte Schiavo is more than a mere gratification of the palate, it is a whole experience.
Pale lemony yellow appearance. Fresh, zesty, citrus aromas (touch of lemon meringue pie) with hints of nut and stone fruit. Palate begins with a simple citrus which extends to white stone fruit and a rounded nutty finish.
