Org de Rac is an award-winning, organically certified estate located in the fashionable region of Swartland, today the source of many of South Africa’s most exciting wines. Org de Rac is situated on the slopes of the impressive Piketberg, near the Berg River in the dynamic Swartland region. For more than 10 years, organic wines have been produced here. Using ‘healthy’ high quality wine grapes – organic fertilizers, no pesticides, even in the cellar Org de Rac adheres to absolute organic winemaking techniques. The wines are crafted by talented veteran winemaker Frank Meaker who has also overseen the shift towards completely vegan production methods. This pioneering producer makes a wide range of wines, all with the common thread of great value and varietal definition. The ecological footprint is kept as small as possible. Respect for terroir and nature results in healthier wines of superior quality and taste.
This exclusive reserve organic range is grown on the south-facing slopes of Piketberg Mountain where specially selected vines yield grapes of great distinction. Thanks to meticulous cellar practices every wine in the range is an aristocrat in its own right. A complex rich, ripe wine with a deep vibrant ruby colour. Lingering blueberry fruit is enhanced by nuances of spice. An elegant backdrop of well-structured, integrated oak adds intensity and length to the wine.
