Van Brunt Stillhouse is a craft distillery based in Brooklyn — arguably the epicenter of microdistillery activity in America, if not the world. (The company is named after Cornelius Van Brunt, one of the founding fathers of Brooklyn.) Van Brunt Stillhouse takes a time honored traditional approach to distilling. Sourcing wheat, rye and corn directly from upstate New York farmers. Making every spirit from scratch in the waterfront neighborhood of Red Hook in Brooklyn. Our family of whiskeys give a nod to classic styles while remaining innovative, creating bold and flavorful spirits.
No age statement, but it spends just five months in American oak barrels. Incredibly young on the bouquet, it’s loaded with grain, new oak with a bit of smoky wood. Then honey, near clover, and marmalade notes turn the profile sweeter. Fresh florals and malty cereal grains round out the experience. Everything is present in the light bodied palate with a touch of spice on the finish. A great new craft spirit.
